Possible voting Irregularities at some Guelph polling stations
Apparently at some polling stations people were being asked for proof of citizenship or photo ID which is not required. Has this happened to you or someone you know?
Chris Seto and Barbara Mann are collecting info on this. The info needed is 1) Name 2) contact info 3) whether they went home and didn’t vote 4) whether they went home and got more ID. Send to csetoATguelphmercurytribune.com and BarbaraATBarbaraMann.ca
This was noted at the Italian Canadian Centre polling station. The purpose of this is to see if this was widespread across Guelph, limited to one polling station or a few isolated incidents. S
adly it seems that some people were discouraged from voting because of this.
