Upcoming road rebuilds in the Ward
York Road between Ontario and Stevenson Streets and the entire length of Manitoba Street are to be rebuilt in the summer of 2020
Manitoba Street reconstruction
The City will reconstruct Manitoba Street from Ontario Street to Huron Street. Work includes the installation of sanitary and storm sewer pipes, water pipes, curb, gutter and sidewalks, and final repaving.
Construction starts May 2020
Construction is expected to start in early May 2020 and be completed by September 2020.
Manitoba Street will be closed from Ontario Street to Huron Street in both directions with limited local access. There will be no on-street parking during the project.

Open houses provide an opportunity to view project information, including maps and schedules, and to ask questions about traffic impacts and access to properties. You’re encouraged to provide comments and feedback to City staff and consultants at the open house.
Most of the planning for these projects has already been completed, but adjustments can still be made, if an important matter has been overlooked, or if there is strong opposition to some aspect of the plan.
