The consultants have selected an 8 ward model with one councillor per ward. Most of Saint Patrick’s Ward is to share a word with downtown and the Saint Georges Park neighborhood. This plan places the part of the Ward east of Stevenson and north of the Guelph Junction Railway in a different ward. These streets – Empire, Garibaldi, Walter and Simcoe have always been part of the Ward and culturally belong with it.
An alternative proposal has 6 wards with two councillors per ward
This is similar to the system we have now. It keeps Saint Patrick’s Ward in one piece and includes us with downtown. Map below titled Option 6-2

All three maps keep The Ward intact, including the area east of Victoria Rd.
Thanks for your ideas. Your 6 ward map seems better than the ones put forward by the consultants. Most of the consultant’s maps leave out the are east of Victoria and their chosen one cuts off a large are east of Stevenson. Are you planning to present them at the meeting?
